First off, Kohler tends to think beyond just the product and takes into account installation as a part of the purchase. They provide braided stainless steel installation lines along with this faucet and quick connection valves to hasten the process. All you have to do is use the 25 feet flexible line, connect the faucet with your existing plumbing and tighten the faucet to the sink hole using the quick connecting restraining nut. Once that is done, all that remains is to position the deckplate and cover up any additional holes that might have been left out. For me, it is the flexible lines that make this a five star product. You never have to worry about damaging the lines with extended use. The faucet’s pull-out feature works great with smooth extension and an equally rapid yet fluent retraction. A counterweight shaped like a doughnut slides along the inside and being smooth from all sides, you never have to worry about damaging the contraption.

Style:

Sexy, elegant and desirable – these three words perfectly define the Kohler K-10433-VS. Personally I loved the stainless steel and polished bronze finishing for their unique appearance but the other three finishes are equally attractive. A little about the chrome finish, it isn’t fingerprint and smudge resistant so you will need to wipe it down a bit. As for my personal favorite, the stainless steel finish, it accentuates the curves and the cuts rather well. The size and shape of the head together with the curved lever design and narrowing bottom blend well with the deckplate that is rounded from the sides. With my dual side sink, white Italian marble countertop, I actually find this faucet bringing out the best in my kitchen.

Durability:

What you need to worry about with this fixture is that the counterweight will eventually slacken with time. About a year after you start using this faucet, you will notice a slight delay in retraction as well as half an inch of clearance between the pull-out spray head and the neck. I don’t know why this happens but to me this is the biggest concern with this faucet. Otherwise, it is a durable, rugged design that retains its shine, appearance and elegance for well over a couple of years. I will change the rating to a perfect 5 when Kohler finally decides to fix the pull-out sprayer issue.

Kohler, a brand name synonymous with innovation introduces temperature throttle, pause button operation, diverter controls and optional deckplate mounting to the K-10433-VS. At under $200, this is a faucet that is packed with innovations. Also, don’t forget about the regular extras available with Kohler such as the flexible braided stainless steel fittings, ceramic cartridge valves and sealed inner surface. In short, this Kohler kitchen faucet is technologically light years ahead of the competition.

Warranty & Repair:

When other companies advertise their limited lifetime warranty, it usually means pay and replace components. With Kohler, limited lifetime warranty covers everything from leaks, drip issues to finishing problems and eventual wear and tear caused in due course of time. Besides, Kohler is prompt and precise in its communications, available throughout the year on voice chat, email and telephone support. In short, Kohler is a brand name to be trusted and Kohler K-10433-VS is a well protected investment.

Conclusion:

I always knew Kohler made some of the best bathroom fixtures but when it came to the kitchen, I usually prefer Delta or another top brand. After having tried the Kohler K-10433-VS, I think Kohler has just become my favorite brand for anything to do with plumbing. Sweet, stylish and totally functional, this is a faucet designed for perfectionists who want class and technology to go hand in hand.
