Our Review:

Developing stylish premium faucets and other kitchen fixtures is a specialty of German manufacturer Grohe. The company’s Grohe 32 298 SD0 lives up to its manufacturers high standards and is a beautiful faucet that will be at home in any kitchen. The slick design, paired with the many matching accessories by Grohe makes the faucet a good choice if you want to give you kitchen a completely new look. The 32 298 SD0 does not just look pretty, it has some great features including  a dual spray option along with the ability to pull down the head of the faucet to make spraying water into hard to reach places easier.

GD Star Rating

There are a ton of great things about this Grohe faucet but design, easy installation and quality top the list.

Minor complaints include the difficulty in using the spring mechanism of the pull out head and splash back in deeper sinks.

Functionality: 4/5

Mixer faucets have to do a lot and the Grohe 32 298 SD0 pretty much does it all. It is very easy to use and the swivel head coupled with the retractable pull-down head are great and give you a wide surface to clean on. One issue that could be resolved is that when the faucet retracts it is not as smooth as it should be and we needed to use our hand to guide it. The trigger spray is excellent and does not stick making it easy to switch to a spray mode and let go when you want the water stream to go back to normal. The lever feather light and you can minutely control temperature and flow.

Style: 4/5

The design and aesthetics of the kitchen faucet from Grohe is amazing. It looked great in our kitchen but it has the potential to be the centerpiece of quite possibly any kitchen. The stainless steel is so well polished and the curves of the design give the faucet a very modern and contemporary feel. Even though the pull handle is made of plastic, it is so well painted that you cannot tell the difference between the stainless steel finish and the plastic. There are really only two colors though one is the all stainless steel and the other is a black version in which the pull-down head and lever are black.

Durability: 5/5

Grohe is the standard when it comes to quality and durability and their Grohe 32 298 SD0 is designed to last. The company offers a Grohe’s limited lifetime warranty which should satisfy any buyer that the Brass body of the faucet will last. The shiny stainless steel finish on the product is good to look and quite durable. The product never loses is gloss and is quite scratch resistant. According to the manufacturer, they use a one of a kind plating process that is tested to withstand a whopping 60,000 wipes from a rough cloth.

Extras: 4/5

There are a so many fancy faucets out there and it can be pretty hard to pick one. Interestingly, Grohe’s has a knack for modern looking design and their products stand out from the crowd quite easily. You would expect this to me the stand out feature of the tap but actually it’s the super easy and extremely fast installation process. We were able to do it ourselves and saved some money by not needing a professional. All we did was use a key to thread it in through the top while some one held the bottom.

Warranty And Repair: 5/5

The Grohe warranty is one of the best in the industry and its reputation is well deserved. The company offers this fancy faucet with a warranty that covers the entire lifespan of the product under its Limited Lifetime Warranty. Returning the product is usually not a problem and Grohe’s customer service is good. Some people do have problems with the lever being loose on arrival or the plastic part being loose. However, all those issues are easily resolved with a return and replacement.

Overall Rating: 4/5

Grohe 32 298 SD0 wins out on its good looks and great construction. The durable product does have some issues with a hefty price tag and a not to smooth retracting spout tube. It makes up for it with an incredibly easy and fool proof installation process along with a smooth as silk lever. If you do choose to go with professional installation expect to pay more than the regular price. The stylish product is meant to be the main faucet in your kitchen sink and plays the part well with a large swivel radius and reach.
